Guidelines and New provisions for Examination

Pattern of question paper |
· Student has to attempt all the five question (of equal marks) in each paper with internal choice of 100% in each question · No question will have more than 5 sub questions |
· Students are given 100% internal choice instead of 67% presently being given from the overall paper. · The pattern will improve the quality of examination and students will be benefited by full coverage of the syllabus

No supplementary answer book will be issued |
The number of pages in the main answer books has been increased adequately (i.e. from existing 24 pages to 40 pages) |
· This is being adopted globally to prevent wastage of paper · This will also result into proper handling of answer books and maintaining secrecy |

Revised fee structure and the application forms for Enrollment, Examination, Revaluation, Re-totaling |

· Fee is marginally changed and rationalized as per the need of the RTU · All these modifications are made to facilitate proper database management and develop the entire system for conduct of examination. · This will result into hassle free and quality of services to students. |

Bringing cell phone/ programmable calculator (i.e. having memory capacity of more than six numbers)/ communication devices in the examination hall is strictly prohibited. Exam Conducting authority will not be responsible for the custody of such articles. However, use of scientific calculator is permitted as per existing practice of Raj. University. |

· It has been observed that such articles are brought into the examination centres and these are sometimes misplaced, lost and therefore this is in the interest of student community to prevent them from carrying these to examination centres to prevent their loss and keep the conduct of examination undisturbed. |

Application for revaluation/ re-totaling should reach to Director (exam), RTU along with the original mark sheet with in 15 days of the date of declaration of result. |

Grievance (in theory papers) if any should be communicated within three days through Centre Superintendent by Fax/ email to RTU. |

For all examinations which are conducted by the RTU and answer books are supplied by the RTU their related marked answer books (of Practical main exam) must be sent back to the university along with the award list. |

· To maintain entire examination more transparent and to avoid any difficulty to the student due to omission at the time of evaluation or otherwise · To provide expedient redressal of any grievance of the student with regard to marks · To deal legal cases properly on account of any litigation by the student |

Improvement in term test and sessional examination
|
The rules for improvement in term test and sessional examination will remain operative as per the rules of UOR till the RTU formulate/adopt its rules in this regard. |

9 |
Re-admission in 1st B.E. Examination and re-enrollment of student with RTU. |
All students taking re-admission in I-BE (who were admitted during the academic year 2005-06 or earlier and were enrolled with the University of Rajasthan) are required to re-enroll with the RTU for the academic session 2006-07 or later. |
· To prevent complication due to change of University from the academic year 2006-07/change of examination scheme/change of syllabus for the same student · If the student gets readmission in Ist B.E. he will be governed by the rules and regulation of the RTU |

All Practical Examinations except final year project examination will be conducted before commencement of preparation leaves(Max. 5 days for semester examination and 10 days for annual examinations) for theory examinations |

· To avoid undue delay in declaration of result due to late communication of marks of the practical and sessional · To pave the way for availability of examiners for evaluation of theory examination answer books · Students will also be benefited academically due to preparation for these examinations before theory exams. |
